PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride)

Features:
  • Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), is a fluorinated thermoplastic resin which has outstanding resistance to most mineral and organic acids, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, halogenated solvents, and oxidizing environments. It combines high density, high strength, and with very low moisture absorption. PVDF exhibits resistance to UV radiation and has outstanding aging resistance. It can also be used in repeated contact with food products, as it is FDA-compliant and absolutely non-toxic.
  • Stock Shape / Size Range : Plate (Thickness: 10mm - 100mm) / Rod (Dia: 4mm - 280mm) / Tube (Dia: 40mm - 90mm)

Preferred Fields:
Piping products, sheet, tubing, films, plate, insulator for premium wire, components for wet process stations, pump & valve components, tanks & chemical processing equipment.

Characteristics:

  • High density, strong and tough
  • High chemical resistance
  • Hydrolysis-resistant
  • Very low moisture absorption
  • High thermal expansion
  • High dissipation factor
  • High resistance to UV radiation
  • PVDF is significantly more resistant to energetic radiation than all other fluorothermoplastics
  • Inherently flame resistant, self-extinguishing
  • Very good weldable
  • Good slide and wear properties
