DURATRON 1000 / ULTEM 1000 Unfilled Grade Polyetherimide

DURATRON 1000 / ULTEM 1000 Unfilled Grade Polyetherimide

Features:

Duratron 1000 / Ultem 1000 is an amorphous, amber-to-transparent thermoplastic from the polyetherimide (PEI) family with characteristics similar to the related plastic PEEK. Relative to PEEK, PEI is cheaper, but it is lower in impact strength and usable temperature. PEI is suitable for contact with food and exhibits high mechanical strength and rigidity. The characteristic profile includes excellent hydrolysis resistance and dimensional stability, combined with a relatively high long-term service temperature. And because of its adhesive properties and chemical stability, it became a popular bed material for FDM 3D printers.

Stock Shape / Size Range:

  • Plate (Thickness: 3mm – 80mm)
  • Rod (Dia: 6.35mm – 152.4mm)
